Privacy Policy
We value privacy and want you to have the information you need to make your own decisions about your personal privacy. Our financial products are fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
The information provided in this privacy policy describes practices with respect to our financial application on Facebook. Links provided on this site to affiliates or other third parties are not covered in this policy.
Our audience is Facebook users of all types: parents, teenagers, and adults. We do generally request personally identifiable information from our users, although Facebook, by its nature stores personally identifiable information and users should familiarize themselves with the Facebook privacy policy and their own privacy settings. When you accept the application, Facebook provides some information to us as is described on the install page. We do collect other information from you when you use the application, (respond to a survey, fill out a form, etc.) and, in some cases, associate the information entered in the application with the information provided to us by Facebook.
Information Collection and Use
Personally identifiable information is obtained by the application in the following instances:
- Facebook may provide us with personally identifiable information but we will never collect any information without your express permission or authorization.
- If you sign up for our “beta” and/or use the contact form for the application and have an email address which includes your real first and last names, or if the body of your email message includes personally identifiable information.
We use personally identifiable information that we get from such voluntary log-ins, emails, and from Facebook principally for internal tracking purposes, to improve our products and services, to ensure that we can respond to requests for information or other services. We use it, on the rare occasions that feel we need to, to contact you. We do not use your personal information for any other purpose, we never sell it to any third party, and we do not share it with any third party, with the exception of Plastyc, Inc., the provider of the Upside Visa Prepaid Card which is linked to your Facebook app account and except as required by law or as pertinent to judicial or government investigations or proceedings, or as otherwise necessary to protect our Web site, application, or the safety of its users.
If you enroll a payment card with the application, while you use the application it will retrieve the payment card balance and records of transactions. This information about card activity is analyzed and displayed within the application. We do not allow the card data to be used by any third party. Moreover, the card account number is never used in any part of this application.
We do not at present intend to use or share your personal information for other purposes. If in the future we find it beneficial to disclose personal information (aside from card data) you have provided to third parties for additional purposes, we will provide notices of such use to our users and an option not to participate.
Cookies and Log Data
Cookies are information files that your web browser places on the hard drive of your computer when you visit a website. Cookies cannot damage user files, nor can they read information from a user’s hard drive. Cookies allow websites to recognize your browser and “remember” users activities on a website as well as users visits to a site.
We use cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.
Log data collected on web servers supply us with aggregate information about the activities performed within the application. We use such aggregate information to improve access to our content based on our visitors’ browsers and operating system types to make our content available to as many users as possible.
Security
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information.
We offer the use of a secure server whenever possible. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our or our partner’s Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and who are required to keep the information confidential.
Our partner, Plastyc.com has taken steps to ensure that personally identifiable information collected is secure, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to their database servers as well as electronic security systems and password protections which guard against unauthorized access.
